Mastering!

Just a quick hello...

HI!

So, we've decided on our mastering technician. His name is Bernie! He's REALLY good. We sent him "It's Hard" to test him out - not only did he do an amazing job but he went over and above our expectations. He gave us a few mixing tweeks in order to make the Mastering process run a lot smoother and the end result to be even more polished.

We're really stoked and so should you, our fans!! Yay! Our album is almost here and we're going nuts trying to finish it for all of you.

I was bored at work today so I beat Mario 2 on my computer. I took screen shots to prove it.

DAY FOUR-HUNDRED-AND-SIXTY-TWO: I Love Mixing.

Hi hi,
Yesterday Ed mixed "That Striped Dress" and it's like thunder. The bridge is so thick - it's like a brick wall of guitars. Before the piano solo, during the organ phrase after the bridge, there's this almost eerie almospheric sound just peaking out of the background. I love the way it's been mixed into the track. This will be song six of twelve completely mixed - we're getting so close. I keep telling Ed, it sounds like every song he mixes sounds better than the last. I'm so excited for everyone to hear this album.

We think we've found the right guy to master the album. We've sent off "It's Hard" for a test mastering to see if this engineer is the right one.

I'm about to meet Dan at the studio. We're going to set-up the studio for rehearsal. Dan got new drums and they are shiny. I believe he also got new cymbals. He told me he also got his hair trimmed - looks more like a mullet apparently.

Anyways, gotsta runnn.

July Update...update...update....

Okay, here's the deal:

WE'RE SOOO CLOSE. We've finished recording EVERYTHING and We're onto mixing right now and it's sounding so rediculous.

We've mixed 5.5 songs out of 12.

Just looking at places that will do mastering for us. We're also getting some cover design ideas going. There are lots of ideas floating around.. too many actually - so we're trying to sort through all of them and choose the most appropriate.


Last Saturday we play our first show in a while, and first with Dan as our drummer. Thanks to everyone who came out to Wild Wing, Uxbridge to show support and ride the bull. We had a great time and are looking forward to doing it again.

Stay posted - we're so very close and can't wait for everyone to hear our work.
